Default Anyone know what turbo this is? *pics*

http://www.bestnet.eclipse.co.uk/turbo.htm

So I got this turbo, pics are in the link above. I want to use this on a h22a turbo setup. The flange is a T3 suggesting its a T3 unless its a hybrid T3/4. The .AR numbers are .60 and .48

Anyone know how this will spool and what its max BHP it can reach or is more info required.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply. Do you know which turbo has a T3 flange and is capable of putting me in the 300-400hp range?

The one I got will do for starters but eventually I would like to upgrade...

Thanks

For the T3 turbine side and that power level you would need a T3/T4 turbo. The T3 compressor doesn't flow enough for that power level.

and remembe to put vacuum to both sides of the middle on the compressor housing, i forgot to do that with mine and well lets just say it hit 16psi at 5k rpm on bbka's bin, and the day before i was running with no boost guage doing redline shifts luckily i found out i had a built engine that took the damage like nothin

Ok so it seems I need something a little bigger to reach my goals (max 450hp for track but mainly 350-400hp
Alot of boosted h22's seem to run the precision SC60-1, is this recommended? Or a TO4E? Lend me some of your h22 boosting experience guys.

The engine is built (sleeved, rods, pistons) and running a 9:0:1 compression

Thanks

How bout you work with what you have before ruining a perfectly good running motor trying to do what everyone else is doing, first? Try the .60/.48 and see how you like it. Adjust your boost and dyno a few times. Get yourself a .63 exhaust housing and see how that treats ya. If you still haven't killed your motor by the time you've gotten and installed your .63 exhaust housing, then maybe it's time to move onto a bigger and better turbo.

Why some of you install the biggest turbo you can find is beyond me.

Try it out first and go from there. There's no sense in buying a turbo the size of a basketball if you can't tune your A/F correctly enough to get through one dynp run.

i'd stay away from turbos that require a compressor flange and an intake flange. just get one that hooks up with hose clamps. a t3/t4.
