there was a s/c miata at an auto-x event i went to a couple months ago, it was sick! i have video of it, but can't/don't have anywhere to host it :P there was also a rhd miata there that was pretty cool, i posted pics of it a while ago.

just remove the maf and get a standalone or go with a Megasquirt for fuel and use the stock ecu for ignition.
I've seen some standalones for $700

Or go with a Megasquirt variant that does spark too. Megasquirt'N'Spark is quite decent for a distributor based ignition, MegaSquirt'N'EDIS controls ford EDIS ignition. Then there are some others.

hmmm I'll take a look at the MegasquirtNspark....can it be used with any dizzy??

You need to convert to a ford EDIS to use the spark part of it.

megasquirtnEdis is for edis...megasquirtnspark is for dizzy's...at least that is what I've been reading if I'm not mistaken

My thoughts on the miata:

Would be cool to find an early 90's one for around 3 grand and turbo it for track use. Small, light, RWD.

I've always seen them as a girly car and I'd definately not drive one around town with another guy in the car with me - but mostly for the fact that there are so many gay people in denver and I hate getting hit on by ****.

If I ever owned a miata it would be strictly a track car. But then again, you can get an old 240SX and those aren't girly so I guess I can shut up about the miata now.
