I going to get me another totally stock 94 CX hatch on Monday and I thought I would play around with it a little before I just the throw the crap motor away and go to a Y8 or a B16...Anyone ever play with one of these 60 Hp beasts and boost? What kind of results did you get?

 

Buy my T25 im, jk. A friend of mine boosted his 97 DX hatch and he could barely keep up with my friends GSR.

 

Damn...if that was a DX, then this CX would be totally pointless...oh well, I really trying to decide if I want to go B or D with this car...Should I put up a poll?

 

sohc are for lesbians ... j/k its a personal preference and what you want out of the car buy a motor b or d and work with what ya got !

 

take the stock motor and boost it. get your new engine and when you are ready to put it in go to get it street tuned with no wastegate and recorde the distruction.

 

I had a stock cx engine and put on a z6 top end, then boosted it. It was great.
When I sold the car, I put back the cx top end.

 

Any times? Do you ever find out how much power you were making? I'm very used to my B-series and I don't want to be let down after doing a bunch of work...BTW, does anybody know what the compression would be with the CX bottom end and a Z6 or Y8 head?

 

I ran a 15.6 with the mini-me N/A and 14.0 boosted. This was in a 95 coupe.

 

a friend of mine did it, as a joke while tryin to bl0w the motor he didnt use fuel managment, it lasted awhile. longer than it should have. i dont recommend it. but throw some s0rt of 16valve head on it and it wil be fine boosted.

 

^^^^ dont look at the poor results of one turbo setup to compare to most. That is a d16y7 in the 97 dx, and people get good results out of those. (check out turbod16.com if you dont believe that) Although there is a good difference between those two motors. why the hell not, boost the little biotch
