i bought a 14b (td05h) turbo, with the wastegate taken off and welded shut, so need to run an external wastegate, which i wanted anyways. the only thing that sucks is that now im going to have to invest in a decent manifold. but i was wondering if anyone had welded a flange for a wastegate on to an hf manifold. if not....what if i bought the crap like obx or ss autochrome....and rewelded it. just the welds on those break right? i just dont want to spend 250 on a manifold. this is supposed to be homemade...not buy performance parts. thanks for your help.

 

ya lots of guys hole saw a hole right in the top were the 02 is and weld a 90 on there.
