Here's a better idea.
Things needed:
Band saw
D series flange
Run the Evo 8 manifold through the band saw cutting the head flange off of the cast as close to the head flange as possible. Then get the d-series flange and weld it on with a mig welder. Finish it by porting it all out. The thicker the D-series flange is the better, because you'll be able to port the flange and make the transition a little more smooth.
At least that's what I would try to do if the ports are anything close to on another.

That's not really feasible to do either. The stock 4g63t manifold is almost a perfect fit for a F-series (as the pic above shows), which means it's going to be off by quite a bit on a d-series. Once you go about 2 inches in on the manifold runners, it becomes basically one solid cast piece, and the runners come in pretty straight for those 2 inches or so as well. Even his original idea of building an adapter runner section is going to be a PITA with the angles the runners are going to need to match up, not to mention the much larger 4g63 port size. If nothing else it would help prevent reversion though lol.

if you need a cheap manifold just weld up a pipe fitting log, order a flange from wiertech, and weld away. Done for like 50 bucks

thats a hks manifold and what they have done is pair runners 1 and 4 into one hole and the 2and 3 into the other, Am i being thick but coudl you not design a simialr manifold in that fashion where the runners go to the same place? Buy the had d series flange and the evo turbo side flange and get fabricating. Im sure the end result will be better then making a manifold adaptor which to me sound much harder then makign the manifold like i suggest? Or am i just being dumb cause i don;t see a problem with my plan and basically what the previous poster has said as the piping isnt that complicated.

I have an idea how about sell the evo mani on ebay since they go for a pretty good amount to dsm guys I mean 2g mani's sell for atleast $60 and I think you could get atleast $100 out of a evo mani, than use that money to buy the materials to build your own mani
