-40° to +375° F. and Torque is 15-20 in.-lbs. are they any good? enough clamping force w/ these? im thinking about getting some since the slotted stainless steel ones tend to tear up the couplers. |

http://www.pgmfi.org/~blundar/tony/p1010081.jpg can you spot the coathangers? I use clamps from old toyotas and whatever else I can hide in my toolbag at the junkyard. The wire kind are my favorite. If i ever break any of these I may start using some exhaust u-bolts and brick strap for clamps.... |

Im going to go out on a limb here and say they will work. Although I have never tried this exact style of clamp it looks like it accomplishes the same task as any other clamp. ^-^

Just don't weld on them :P They look fine but why don't you just go down to your local hardware store and just get some screw type hose clamps?

the slots in the band tears through the couplers after a while.

order some from the interweb..there about 2.50 a peice, all stainless, and have another band of steel under the screw part so it never touches the coupler

The "thread" on my clamps tear apart quicker than they could tear apart a coupler.

I've Always used them with no tearing issues on my hoses or couplers |
