any b16 turbo's in here?

just wondering if anybody has had any experiences with a b16 turbo..set up's..and power? built blocks..stock blocks and 1/4 miles times..just bought a b16a2 short block..thinking of building it for boost with pistons and rods..stock bore...stock sleeves...but wondering if its worth it...anybodies 2cents will help..thanks

why wouldn't it be worth it? any b series is nice with boost.

i don't know..the torque differences maybe..or does the boost make up for the b16's weak low end

they can be very quick just boosting the stock block, but especially since you're talking about building it. forged rods and pistons you'll be able to push 15 psi all day, that will make for a very quick b16, i promise ;)

I have heard that the b16s weak low end is awesome for turboing because it allows you to connect to the pavement before some real power kicks in. Sometimes the lack of low end torque on a fwd car is a good thing. Im in the process of turboing my b16 too.

there's not enough lack of torque to keep you from not hooking up, i spin through 1st and 2nd on street tires.

I read a write up on someone who was autocrossing and he said the b16 turbo was by far the fastest because of the torque curve compaired to some of hondas torquer engines or this reason.

beau has a b16 in his race car, I think his fastest time was 11 something. I'm going to turbo my b16 just for shits and giggles until I can get my LS block finished. I need to find out what I'm going to drive when I blow the b16 though.

hey projekteg..is that your coupe with b16 turboed 11psi?
hows that running..whoopin on any cars.? i would like to run 11's but 12's will be good enough..i've seen a stock b16 in a race car shell of an eg run 10.9...thats pretty cool..but i'm sure his car only weighed about 1,800 lbs...
