if oil is being pushed through your turbo seals it will not combust but give the smell of oil due to burnoff from your dump tube. Sounds like you have a bad hg and turbo seals.

What is HG ?

Any oil leaking out the turbo eiter from ring seal issues or turbo seal issues will turn to smoke because your turbo and Exhaust is so hot.
Chk the mufler for oil.

If there is no oil your safe.

If the ehad gasket is gone shouldnt there be oil in your coolant.
WOuldnt it be simpler to just see what levels are droping i.e. coolant or oil

Eh, depends on how bad, but essentially you're right. They will mix. Check your oil and see if it's "milky". Look for a drop in your resoviour (anit-freeze) tank. If you have FTL, I figured I had a slight problem by going hitting it building a psi or 2 then walking to the back to see a little moisture on the ground. Smelt it and it was sure enough, sweet, anti-freeze.
