Re:Another DIY Manifold-pics
why dont you just make a few, post em up for sale, and watch em fly.
If I had the time to put into it at my shop at work, id totally make a buttload of em.
unfortunately i only get my 15 min breaks n stuff to do work.

If you can make an equal length or something similar for a better price than everybody else out there...they'll sell. Period.
The hard part is determining which flanges to make them with if you don't do each one per request. Basically it would be hard to keep any kind of back stock in manifolds because not everybody wants an external WG or not everybody has a D series. There are so many variations to make backstock not a viable option.

Re:Another DIY Manifold-pics
The welds were done on a Miller Synchrowave 250D, it's older, has no pulse feature and can be a bit funny on the Hi-freq. start, but welds very nice. It does a fairly nice job on alum. too. The amp dial is a bit off and I weld with a button on the torch, no foot pedal, so I have to play with my heat a bit to get it just right, or I just speed up or slow down if I'm lazy :P
I love Tig welding Stainless and alum., I won't even bother with any other process. Well, I'm going to do up an equal length and go from there. The other issue is that I want to test my manifolds first, I don't want to assume it's going to work, we're going to put it on the car and dyno it, then it's to the track in April, if it holds up well, I wil start selling them.
