my grandfather has a welder, don't know if its the type in need though. I wouldn't say the ppl on here are smart and I'm not saying they are not smart. They are just mechanically inclined. I on the otherhand go to school full time, work on the weekends, and am usually busy with la tarea any other time.

I only see one solution to your predicament, DONT USE A INTERCOOLER. Hmt is cheap but you taking it to a whole new level bro

I cant weld and couplers are way too damn expensive. But I can cut, and I can jb weld....... thats right, intercooler piping with the famous whitey bends, but with jb weld instead. I am probally going to do that. At home depo you can get 2 3/8 inch metal fence posting 10 feet for $12, and that stuff is meant to be outside in the rain so I am sure it doesnt rust, and what instead of 3 lbs for 10 ft its like 8 lbs, I will take the extra 5 lbs. $12 for piping, $10 in glue (jbweld) ghetto fab baby!

Hey what do you know, I go to school full time, work during the week and on weekends, and also have a lot of homework, yet I still taught myself how to weld and build a custom turbo kit. If you really want to you'll do it, if you don't, then you'll just talk about it. All I'm saying is yes you're busy, but if you wanna do it, you can do it.

I do want to learn this type of ----, but If I start up while in school it will be a distraction. So maybe I'll pick it up over the summer orsomething. That JB Weld doesn't soudn like a bad idea though. Will it hold up to all that heat and pressure?

It holds up pretty good on cracked blocks, ic piping should be no sweat.

JB weld will not work unless you slip fit every connection which means going to an exhaust shop and having them expand a number of pipes. I would never ever in a million years trust JB weld charge pipes. Been there, done that. Doesn't work. The best bet is to install the intercooler and pay an exhaust shop to crush bend you charge pipes. Go with 2.5" pipes so during the bends you will only be down to probably 2". There are other options though, but it requires skill. One option would be buy a cheap chop saw and some mandrel bends from Racing Solutions/LSD/JC Whitney/where ever. Cut the pipes up and put couplers on at every junction. Nitrile couplers from McMaster I think are still $30 for 3'. More than enough to take care of buisness. My real suggestion is spend $100 on a HF flux core welder and $50 on a chop saw. That way you can weld up your charge pipes and downpipe. You will end up breaking even or saving money in the end. You would just need to spend a couple hours learning how to weld half decent. Anyone making a HMT kit should buy a $100 flux core welder if they don't have a friend that can weld. It will save you a ton of money/time in the end.

So i should get a flux core welder for strong shitty welds, I've been asking and people have been saying Mig, Tig and Arc but flux core is new. Whats the difference b/w them

Google.com will answer the question of how the different welders work. As for fluxcore not working. Its just a myth. Flux just makes ugly welds due to the splatter. Intercooler piping welding needs basically 0 strength. The amount of force on the weld due to air pressure is not enough to even discuss. Because you use couplers there is really minimized stresses overall. The only thing you need to worry about is making sure the welds hold pressure which shouldn't be that difficult. If you spend some time learning how to weld and maybe spend $15 on a book you should be fine with fluxcore. If you are a ricer ****** and like to make sure stuff looks nice, grind the welds down flush.
