I went out thursday night and all the sudden i noticed I was only boosting 7 instead of 10. Then as the night progressed from driving around it went down to 4. And now its a measily 2 and its bouncing from 0 to 2 psi at full throttle. This totally sucks. My piping is intact, one thing I found wierd though is i can here it spool like before and the wheels are spinning. Any input thanks in advance . oH its a t3.

 

Boost leak definatly!

Sounds like a charge pipe fell off slowly/gradually.

Thats the only thing it sould be, it the turbo had gone out then it would smoke, have you checked the intercooler for small holes?

 

Well the turbo smoke once in a while. I guess ill check the charge pipes. But even when ive had them blow off i could still here the turbo spooling up thats whats making me all confused . Thanks for the input.

 

Im havin the same prob bro. I'm only reading 2 psi. Checked my charge pipes and going to check my wastegate flapper.

 

Is the flapper door supposed to have any play on the actuall flapper. Mine moves a little bit.I would say its my boost gauge but my afc is reading lower boost as well. I checked all my piping but its all intact. No holes on the intercooler either.

 

You didn't state this so I'll ask...

How does it drive?

Edit: If you're still making power than it may be vacuum hose related.

 

check that the wastegate isn't getting stuck open, also take the intake pipe off and check for rotation and lateral shaftplay

 

When my car was boosting 10 i had a higher reading on the vafc pressure feature than i do now. It barely makes goes over 0.05 kg. Plus my boost gauge reads vac pretty good. Who knows ill blow on the tube that goes to the boost gauge i can blow about 5psi. :P :P
