Are all D series oil pans teh same?
i have a 93 jdm d15b. witch is a vx botoom end with z6 head. Its a 1.5 so do i have to use the oil pan from this motor? I have a spare D16a6 pan, and was thinking i can tap this one and themn just drop and put rigth back up.

Those 2 pans should be very similar, alot of the D-series oil pans have slight variations in them, but you should be ok.

on that turbo kit I put on, the d15 oil pan was too short for the z6 engine. It was about half an inch too short and I couldn't get it to go flush, so they are in fact a bit differnt. As well, the markings and indents along the pan are completely different. The d15 had little ovals around the oil pan beside the holes while the d16z6 had little circles so I also needed a different gasket.

I was just wondering this same thing...I wanted to get a Moroso oil pan for my D16Y7 but their site only says "D16 SOHC" engines....anyone know if the D16Y pans are the same?
