I've heard of lawn mower air filters, but to be honest I would go with a better filter from a respected name. Instead of a small filter how about piping it to a larger and even more air flowing spot in the bay and put the filter there. That's how I roll. Before though, it was all about the screen.

The filter would be fine. It might restrict it slightly, but I'd rather have a slight restriction, then a rock in my turbo. I run a small filter on the streets now because of clearance issues. But at the track, I take it off and throw on the window screen filter!

Here's the one I use. I needed an abnormally large inlet on mine, but the rest of the filter really isn't that big.

I have a large cylinder filter from K&N. I just cut it down to about 4" and glued the top from a can on the end. At least two other TC Crew member rockn' the same thing.

Werd. Back when I had my eclipse, me and Austin glued a piece of a milk carton on the end of a fram circular filter, and I ran that thing for about a year!

Zip tie it to something to keep it from rattling/shaking around. If it is banging around you should probably be able to hear it rattling on the frame or whatever.

If it's good quality no. Good idea though. I looked at the link and I don't see a name brand, but that doesn't mean it's not good. Who knows?
