Aftermarket fuel pump...for the car or engine???

Just want to make sure, when buying an aftermarket fuel pump do you buy it for the engine in the car or the car model it self?? I’m pretty sure it’s the car it self but I just want to make sure.

And is it fairly easy for the average "do-it-yourselfer" to tackle this job?

since it goes in the tank if we are talking about most hondas....you buy it for the car. If this was some old school mechanical pump on the block, get it for the motor
