Re: Adjustable oil resistor
umm yea.. dont listen to that haha
you should only need an oil restrictor if its ball bearing and.. what i did on my old set up was setup two gauges.. one was engine oil pressure. restrictor and then turbo oil presure it was pretty baller and you have to have it pretty much closed the whole way before it will evan reduce oil pressure.. but put a gauge after it and it will tell you ..but higher rpm's more oil pressure.. so.. idk i set mine at like 7-10 at idle..

Re: Adjustable oil resistor
the thing is im having too high oil press for my turbo now and it blew 2 x unit turbo seal in 1 yr period. now i know i need oil press restrictor but i do have plan for oil cooler soon.
now if i hook up a restrictor now, for sure the press to my turbo will reduce but will i have sufficient return press for my oil cooler and thn back to my oil pan?

Re: Adjustable oil resistor
I wouldn't throw the oil cooler into the mix unless you're positive that it's needed. On the restrictor:
A good starting point would be 3/4 closed, and see if you have a smoking problem. If it still smokes, close it a little more and give it time to burn off the oil in the downpipe. If it still smokes, choke the bitch all the way and do a couple good rips. Then take it home and pry the pieces of wheel out of your intercooler. lol
