You are aware those 9-3 turbos are TINY, right? That is a GT17, which is about 180-200BHP (crank measurements!) at the most. Those Saabs used turbos to create low-end torque, not top-end power.
About the car being AUTO, most other Hondas did infact have a seperate trans-control unit. IIRC someone on PGMFI.org basicly used a P28 as a piggyback for the stock ecu/tcu (CRV?), which worked just fine. It will be a mess though, and quite frankly, a good way to create a 5-year project for a n00b. As long as you actually get a reasonably sized turbo, an FMU at 5psi won't be a big deal. You'll just running at 75% the power level you could with a tuned ecu.
I seriously suggest you go do some more reading on how to turbo a Honda. Basicly all your questions have been answered in every Honda turbo forum over 100x times.
BTW I was rocking the interFOOLER last year too. But that was while I was building my motor and making a different manifold - I just never removed the fmic. :1
