94 Accord Boosted (6lbs, Pics, & Boobies!)

4 Attachment(s)
Hello, name's Tom. First post on HMT, thought I'd show what I've been doing so far. Maybe you guys have any ideas? For the past ten months, I've been trying to piece together a turbo setup for my 94 Honda Accord EX 4 Dr.

Engine - SOHC VTEC 2.2L F22B1
Tranny - Auto (hey I paid nothing for the car)
Mileage - 132,000
Everything works.

Only looking to obtain 5lbs of boost.

Here's what I've got, so far.

FMIC - 2.5' Inlet/Outlet
FMU Blox 12:1 & VAFC - Haven't decided yet what to use.
Have access to tons of injectors. If deciding to go VAFC.
Garrett turbo, off a 99 Saab 9-3 Conv't. FREE!
Spins free, no problems. Had to rotate both sides of turbo to work.
F22 Turbo manifold
Knock off BOV - Free when I bought the header.
2.5' Custom exhaust & 2 Flex pipes. Install soon.
Oil line kit. (little sketchy about it)
Boost & Oil pressure gauge.
Working on obtaining a manual transmission and parts. (not easy)
Would also like to keep creature comforts, since I do live in Florida.

I also do have access to a mechanic shop, so any extra small parts can be obtained pretty easily.

I am open to any suggestions/tips/questions that might smoothen my turbo setup, so all are welcome.

Here are the pics of the car, and what I have done so far.

Hey man it looks like you have the parts you need now find some probe 310cc injectors and use the vafc & a walbro fuel pump. You should be good, just retard the dizzy timing a lil it'll be fun. ;)

Ditch the afc and get a chipped p 28 (OBD1), if you end up running the 450 dsms... ive got a great 10 pound map for you.

Post porn now niglet, and the gates will open... youve got most of the prereq accomplished...

That might not work.

There's a problem running chipped ecus with 5th gen auto accords. Something's different in the tcu from the 4th gens. I know it works on 4th gens 100% because i've experimented many times, but nothing with 5th gens yet.

So buying a p28 might be a waste.

The only thing I can think of right now as a solution is to get a 4th gen tcu and use that.

Whoa, sure didn't expect to see all this flaming but it's straight.

I'll lose what I want when I'm ready. Who cares if it's a "H" sticker, and it's massive huge, nobody has them. I'm sure they wouldn't, right?

Yes, I do live in the Daytona Beach area, and yes I attend DBCC.

Porn, hmm...let's see, wanr videos instead? Cause I could surely get you hooked up with plenty of those. Pictures don't do justice anyways.

Probe injectors (310cc) - What year probe's will I find them? I'm sure I could possibly find some lying around the shop? Plenty of spare parts & injectors? Would I need to make a resistor box for them or would my Accord handle them no problem? Thanks.

I'm really not looking to run huge amounts of boost. After all, I do want to drive it till it hits at least 250,000 miles.
An FMU seems decent to me, for that amount of boost.

But....I know, I know FMU's are junk right? If they were junk, then why did they make them?

I understand chipped ECU's are the way to go, but not with the amount of boost I want to accomplish.

Does anyone think I will need a restrictor on the turbo I'm using?

The Daytona area has grown quite much, but hey shifting an automatic is fun (to me at least). I can convert to a stick. If I had the funds.

Okay here's some porn pics.

bigdaddyvtec 05-16-2007 02:35 AM

Re: First HMT (In progress) & Pics

YOU CALL THAT GETTING FLAMED YOU PANSY??? Youre in for a rough ride nig... FMU=----. Read.Learn,Listen,. or dont..... youre talking to som people whove managed just fine before you got here... Run the hack, or the fmu, and ill wait till your ooooops post. I had a very succesful f22 setup before the new monstyer..,. But what would i know.....310s are poimtless, use 450 dsms they are cheap, and erasy to find... theyll allow for some room when you DO turn up the bost -----roler

id make sure to run a big trans cooler to help save the tranny too, ittl help with the extra fluid in the system too...... due to the extra capacity

your accord has the resistor box already.

you are welcome

I can handle the flaming, I just think it's weird everyone doesn't like the sticker, that's all.

I appreciate the information you've provided me with so far. It has helped, and I'll start looking for some 450's around the shop or just purchase some. I was told and read on here they came off of Mazda Rx7's? Which years? Thanks.

Just out of curiousity, how big are my stock injectors anyways? Are they 240's?

Btw, I won't be turning up the boost past 5 lbs. That's all I need to be happy. :)

Wow, I'm glad you think that he's going to rock that FMIC and not finish the rest of it. Reputation? Wooooooowwww, haha, who cares what people think? In a short while he'll have boost and they won't so what does that matter? Your argument is irrelevant and silly. You act like it won't have any future purpose to have already cut/mocked/mounted all the plumbing so the day of install could go much faster. I can't believe you even said that, wow. It's progress, jeez.

I disagree. do you really think he did it "To save time" or to look cool. Once again I am drawn to the altezza's the sticker ....cheap pep boys rims....yeah I bet it isnt cause its was easier. granted there are always some execptions to the rule but when you see a riced aout pos theres a pretty good chance its just that.....a riced out POS.

I guess my point is unless you know the dude, out of 10 ricers with IC's on an NA honda I would be willing to bet only 2 of them did it cause it was easier.

Okay, understandable. I did do this and it DID save me time for when the rest went on. Sooooo I can agree it depends on your true intentions.

Re: First HMT (In progress) & Pics

I appreciate everything so far, both good and bad. It's funny to see others bash someone's ride. Hey, at least mine's clean and taken care of. Not to say others aren't though. I'm sure there's plenty of nice rides out there.

I don't see why everyone's got a bone to pick with the sticker and the altezzas. Who cares? Some people care to be unique, let alone become a ricer, as for others who don't care and redline their bitch every traffic light.

Shoot, I only paid $20 for the sticker. It can always be removed.

Plus, my original tail lights were cracked, and a local junkyard wanted $40 just for one. I got both altezzas brand new for $45 two years ago.

Funny how lots think I'm "rice" material, yet I've spent hundreds on my rims (& no not from Pep Boys), from a real tire and rim shop. and trying to go the better way with the whole turbo setup.

Progress is nice; exactly what I'm trying to accomplish. Little by little I will get there.

So what if people "think" I will blow my engine. It doesn't matter. I'll rebuilt it. Swap an H22 or just use any of the "D" Honda engines I have lying around the shop waiting for boost.

Oh, and don't forget I attend school all year round full time including summer, and two different jobs. I don't think I'm in bad shape. Hey, at least I haven't gotten knocked on the turbo yet.

Hrm if you just run obd1 and a chipped ecu, which is cheap btw, you can run the 450cc injectors AND more than just 5lbs boost. You dont even need an intercooler for 5lbs boost... So what I'm saying is for a little more work you can run more like 8-9lbs safely. With the better management it can run like stock and no its not going to be short lived. 5lbs or 9lbs, you are still adding a ton of extra heat to your engine (which obviously doesnt help in prolonging engine life no matter what you do...)

There, I edited your post for you to demonstrate how much of a ricer you are. They are wheels, not "rimz." Also, if your excuse is that you had to drop Alteeezaas on there because the stockers were too expensive, then how the hell are you planning on doing an H22 swap once your POS auto blows and F22 grenades? Yes, you can drop $20 for a ridiculous sticker that makes you the laughing stock of your town, but everyone knows you can't drop real $ for a manual tranny swap and an H22. I highly doubt you have tons of D-series motors lying around your shop either.

You're all talk and no action. Another way of saying that is you're all show and no go. Your interfooler is a prime example of how you operate and what kind of car guy you are. It's ok to dream, but don't act like you're super baller JDM Bill with infinite parts and shop space at your disposal. As of now the reality is that your car is a grossly underpowered compact car with an auto tranny and a "high I'm tasteless" sticker on the back. Get your head out of the clouds and be realistic.

Oscar 05-16-2007 09:00 PM

Re: First HMT (In progress) & Pics

You're a complete dumbass for even thinking a D will swap into your car. ----, you're stupid for thinking your car +D.

Altezzas are not different, every ------- ricer has them. Rims? We don't give a ---- about rims your cock loving faggot. They look like complete ---- anyways. And again, every ------- ricer has those exact rims. I've seen at least 10 cars with those same rims in my town.

You want to be different, just like everybody else. ::)

Whoops, sure failed to mention that if I did blow my engine, I would probably find a Civic around the area and swap a D engine in, have it fully built, and go from there. My bad for leaving that part out, I just realized that.

Funny how I never see those rims on nobody's car around this area.

You guys can believe what you want. I have access to a shop, parts, and plenty of parts at my disposal. I'll take pictures bitches.

Who cares about the altezzas and an automatic.

What year Mazda Rx7's do the 450's come on? Thanks.

Yeah I didnt read the part about there being a problem with 5th gen autos and chipped ecu. The route now is to put a manual trans in it... Sell the auto trans and use the money to get a manual. If you got the car for free whats the problem with this? It'll be faster

Oh yeah most 450s I know of come from turbo dsms
