'91 Civic Sedan on verge of boost
OK first off I'll welcome myself here by showing the project car and it's donor in the background:
Pics always seem to get views for whatever reason......
So the setup will be:
- '91 LX Civic, full interior, even some extras
- '92 LS OBD-1 motor
- 9.2:1 SRP pistons, .020 overbore
- Eagle H-beam rods
- All OEM rebuild (stock LS gaskets, seals, oil & water pumps)
- STOCK rebuilt HEAD
I want about 250 hp daily. This is a daily driver, not a track star. Not interested in insane top end, nor the ability to rev past 7k, because of stock non-vtec head. However, I DO want boost to kick in low, preferably full boost by 3k rpm.
Question is: which turbo best suits my needs? Currently I have a manifold with a T3 flange so that'd be convenient if it would bolt up. I need specifics, like trim and a/r please. Gracias

Re: '91 Civic Sedan on verge of boost
OK, so I won't need to rev higher than 7k to take full advantage of a T3/T4, eh? Should've known you guys would talk me into big boost :P I just want to avoid a 2k rpm powerband or some ----......want it streetable you know?
^ With this turbo specifically, when could I expect full boost?
And thanks for the comments. It's the pig of all 88-91's, auto seatbelts & all. I expect with the teg's brakes & LS it's pushing 2500 lbs without me inside.
Oh and for those of you 2002 enough to still be rocking Rotas, '05 Odyssey centercaps are a near perfect fit. Beat the hell out of the cheeseball ones that came with Slips.....
