90 crx SiR turbo build ?
 

Hey guys, been a while . my integra XSI was written off because it needed a new bumper and since i didnt want to pay shipping from japan..ICBC wrote it off, they wouldnt listen to me and use a USDM bumper but anyway....

I got a 1990 CRX SiR and im planning on doing a turbo build on it, just curious with the front end being 1" longer will I have any problems with fitment? or will it just take alot of custom work? also curious if anyone has a pic of a decent turbo manifold that would fit good, really isnt much room between the rad support and engine :)

You'll need a intercooler from japan. or.....you'll need tools from japan to do that custom work if you use a non jdm intercooler.

just curious why Id need a JDM intercooler ? only thing i can see needing from japan would be correct piping for an intercooler which i can get made by some buddies. My car is more wide in the front end slightly and longer, there are tons of different intercoolers i could fit in there ???

I suggest relocating the vtak solenoid to the intercooler outlet, so vtak comes in quicker. Proven 30hp. :y

strange because another guy in town has a non glasstop SiR with a turbo build and he didnt use jdm parts :-*

honda tech FTL. I came here because this site is dedicated to turbo builds someone should know about turbo builds here...with legit sources backing up the info provided.

So again, anyone who can explain there reasons and share their turbo build knowledge ?

Im not here to bicker with a bunch of kids.

no explination as to why i need a JDM intercooler and no explination as to why my vtec would act up with usdm parts, im sure 4/5 of you dont have a turbo and never built one before so im looking for experienced answers from others with JDM SiR crx's to answer, thanks though. cheers

And stop being such a friggin noob. Turbo setups are all custom. You build it to fit the car you're putting it on. Yeesh.

They're just ------- with you... you don't need a japanese ANYTHING. The 1" issue isn't a big deal... you can make it fit with a little work. Do research on stuff before you ask questions otherwise you get this type of a response. Oh, and porn from first time posters is a must.

Yeah there are stickys on how to build turbo kits and everything you need to build one is in the For Sale forum. I would say 4/5 of us do have turbo kits or have built multiple kits. When you come on here you need to lighten up. But you do need to post some porn.

Once you get it boosted. Since it's jdm it's can only be driven by some that is jdm or the front of the car will extend another 1" much like Pinochino when he lied. Oh my god I want to skeet so bad and rub it all over my body cause it's good for the skin.

He is probably within a days drive of you :1

There is no anything special just standard boosting practices and I believe BRE a engine management program which you can search around for info on can be used with your stock ecu.Jeff Baker on here has a SIR too that he boosted HMT style.Where in BC are you?Im in Prince George.
