89 Probe GT Turbo project 56k back up
Here she is. This is my cousins car that we're building, figured i'd post it up.
Evo FMIC (hardpiping)
Rebuilt Head (New Everything)
Rebuilt Bottom End (New Everything)
Walboro 255 Fuel Pump
RC 550cc Injectors
MegaSquirt
Turbonetics T3 Turbo
Tial BOV
TurboSmart 38mm wastegate
EBC
3" Full Exhaust
3M Urethane Motor Mounts
Drilled Rotors
South Bend Stage 3 Clutch
Flywheel
Stock mani, ported with T3 flange and external WG
AC Delete Pulley
NGK Plugs
MSD Plugwires
Started off life simple enough, pretty much a stock probe. Did downpipe, exhaust. Boosted the lil stock turbo way past its efficiency range and ended up blowing 2 ringlands all the hell.
Then on came the build up, highest hp that i've seen out of these all boost is 326, so we're shooting to beat that which shouldn't be hard. The tear down
The baby stock turbo
Walbro 255
The megasquirt, yes i know the map is on wrong which is now corrected lol
Motor coming back together
Southbend Stage 3 rated at 425ft lbs
Slowly but surely
Intake mani bored out along with the fuel rail to fit the RC 550's
EX mani almost done
Clutch/Flywheel going on
Ported stock TB
Turbo mounted up mocking the 3in DP
So thats it as of tonight. Motor will be going in the car tomm. Have to finish welding up the DP and do the rest of the exhaust, prolly just going to do a side exit. Sorry for such the long post lol

Cough, fix the map sensor, cough!
Also, AMD did 350whp in his ;-)
Damn good effort for basically a POS engine. If you want to do extra well, "invest" (aka waste) money on some cams for it... the stockers duration is unbelievably low.
I will never understand why people pour money into F2T engines when a dead stock FE3 9:1 motor with a turbo and some fuel and ECU will get you your 300+ whp with no stress and easily. You have to push ridiculous boost into an F2T to make good power = big turbo with a narrow power band on an engine that can't rev.
Good luck! The car looks good, max that lil turbo out :-)

Clean car, one of the nicest examples of one of those cars I have seen.
What car is that engine(FE3) found in??

Freshly ported out ex mani. Turned out pretty damn good if i say so myself. The inside is like a mirror and as smooth as one. Hence why i couldnt get perfect pics of it damn flash! lol.
