88 T-Bird Turbo

Default 88 T-Bird Turbo

I am a newbie to this forum and needed some expert information on a turbo I found. I recently found a turbo off of a 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, I know that the 85-86' models came with the Garrett T-3 turbo's, however I think the 87-88' models came with a different turbo. So my question is, what is this turbo, and will it bolt up and basically be the same as a T-3 turbo of the earlier years, is this a good turbo? Any help would be great, thanks.

i think not sure the earlier t birds cam with the t-3(48/60) and the later ones came with the ihi's

Yep, might be a IHI, but it was made with a T3 flange.

Ok thanks guys, yeah I found out its a IHI RHB52 with an A/R of .48/.52, but this sounds kinda small. When do you think this turbo would spool up on a stock D16y8 motor like mine set at 7 psi, and would it make power to 7200rpm?
