Because the lock does not have the piece that you have to pull when you pull the cable inside, and they tend to open like that so i bought the pins for 8 bucks so why not.

i was reading and there is some debate that the D16a1 rods are not the same than the other D16 enigne. that true?

looks awesome, get some vids when you get it all finished, didnt watch the vid you posted i want to see some with full action. was the motor a direct swap or did you have to change anything?

Not really i have d16z6 eagle rods and vitara piston and they work. They sit low in the cylinder but it is best to get FJT rods. They weren't out when i bought the eagles.

I will make a vid as some as we get the manifold finished and tune it a bit for 10 psi. The motor was a direct swap.

very well done...nice choice of engine. ;D

Hows the low compression treating you? I wanted to go the vitara/eagle route, but I didnt want the super low compression...but you may convice me its not so bad.
