Man, that dyno chart just screams "Honda!!!" Gobs of HP, not much torque (relatively). Personally I would have just bought a TT Supra or an STI for the amount of money he spent but each to his own.

Most guys run 1600's. There is one guy that runs high 8's in a street legal honda, one in a cobalt and a handful ready to break the 8sec barrier as well. You need to learn your honda ---- around here lol.

You're smoking crack on the STi. Slow, and poor build quality. One of the worst factory FI "performance" cars ever built. Try to take one past 300 whp and watch the rods snap or the oil pumps ---- or oil dissappears out of the engine at an alarming rate. It's pretty obvious the EJ is too closely related to the "1.8 leaker" EA family.

1000cc injectors on a Honda make sense, and idle nicely to boot. The car in question probably makes high 600's on SAE correction and even less uncorrected, but still cool; the last time I maxed 1000cc's on a Honduh the car made 742 whp (SAE) @ 0.39 bsfc going lean the last 500 rpms. I really doubt a SOHC pulls those efficiency numbers, but if you've ever been through a couple small bore engines you'd giggle like a schoolgirl over it making the power it does.

 

I don't know if anyone remembers it, but there was a white 4dr(88-91 model) in that same magazine several years ago...I can't remember the power #'s but that car was running 11.30's at 130 sumthin' IIRC. It was a boosted A6...badass ride.
