basic tow charge shouldn't be more then $50... see if you could call some privately owned tow companies to do it for $20 or so.. just call around.

I think you can rent a uhaul car tower for a few hours for a cheap price. Do you have access to a truck?

Sometimes your insurance company offers free towes with a roadside program, you might be able to buy that for like $5.. or sign up for AAA then cancel that ----.

many options for you to look at dude

ive got a ranger i could tow it with.. the muffler shop is probably 8 miles away from my house. they actually do paint/body but there is a guy there who does exhaust work.. getting ahold of him is the hard part

well how far is a uhaul place? If you can make sure he is there and go by uhaul and pick up the car tower then you might be set.

There are two car towers, I think your ranger probably only has the balls to pull the single axle one (put front tires up and go).

uhaul place isnt to far away.. ill be thing about it while im installing everything.. setup probably wont be in the car for a week or two anyway. im just concerned that he may not have the equipment to merge the wastegate exit with the downpipe

Dude, just drive.. I remember when I first started doing this I had to drive to the exhaust shop, yes a good 10mins away. It's not that loud... its about twice as loud if you just had open header, but since the turbo is there it really isnt that bad.

Re:4g civic, t25.. downpipe question

Why is it that every exhaust shop is only 10 minutes away? Even living out in the boonies the exhaust shop is 10 mins away.. not that I need him all the time (he does do some ------- good work for next to nothing tho).

Just start off with a cold car, don't be too rough on it and drive... or pull your hood off and drive it over (less heat).

well i may just try driving it.. im worried that the guy may have hard time merging the wastegate exit and the downpipe but i guess downpipe is better than nothing

He's going to ass rape you. Most exhaust shops are not going to like merging 2 pipes like that. I guess it really depends if its an exhaust/fabrication type shop or a freaking general tom and bob muffler shop. I hope you are going to atleast use mandrels for your downpipe?

Re:4g civic, t25.. downpipe question

luckily i know the guy so it may not be to bad. i may just have him make the downpipe for now and re-do the rest of the exhaust later. i would like to use mandrel bent but ill have to see what hes got when i get there.
