.40" over too much on stock sleeves??
im buying my vitara's today for the built D and one guy that sells them cheap only has them in std bore and .40" over. is that too big for the already thin d series cylinder walls??

Re: .40" over too much on stock sleeves??
yes the cylinder walls would be very thin nothing i would want to be boosted on
vitaras are hard to use cuz u need a decent block to start with its eitehr .40 over or none over |
Re: .40" over too much on stock sleeves??
I really hope you mean .040" which is 1mm over, making the pistons 76mm. That'll be fine.

Re: .40" over too much on stock sleeves??
1mm is too much in my opinion
.5mm is my max |
Re: .40" over too much on stock sleeves??
you can get them in .020" over, they were just more expensive. but thats what im getting, my block is decent, but i heard stock size vitaras in stock bores makes a clang like a diesel??

Re: .40" over too much on stock sleeves??
there is a thread about this already in hybrid forum

Re: .40" over too much on stock sleeves??
they are a bit nosiey on cold start up but nothing rediculous
it be like a after market rod and piston setup .40 over is way too much for boost unless you want to crack your sleeves but hey your block not mine |
