4 liter V8 w/ twin DSM turbos?
I am going to pick up a spare 1UZFE motor for my LS400, its a 4.0 liter V8.
Will two DSM turbos be sufficient for low boost setting? Since the DSM turbos came off of a 2.0 liter engine, will it be enough to use on a 4 liter V8?

it's a bit more complicated then doubling the litre size of the motor and assuming what would work. Spool time, rev limit, compression ratio all have a factor to play.
I would assume that they would, but I'm sure someone is about to come along and say no.

It's all dependant on how much cfm your engine chucks out, compression, head flow, everything flow, cam typing, ect all play into if you can spool those suckers up. I would think twins would make it a bit more complicated than using a header with a y to collect both banks, not to mention the oil lines, coolant, and charge pipes But hey it's your car take a gander of how much room you have and try to visualise it

Assuming that your talking about the TD05H-14Bs that come on the older DSMs, then I'd say "yea should be the perfect LOW boost turbos with great response".
The newer DSM turbos ( T-25 garretts ) are going to be a little too small IMO.
My 3.0L V6 is set to use some 14Bs at 25Psi, with a 7K rev limit. Your V8 has higher compression, more displacemnt, but porb. a lower rev limit, so I'd think 10psi should bee a prob.
I hear a lot of people have been swapping that LS400 V8 into those cobra jet replicas, and some of them are getting tiwn turbo's making sick power.

Yeah there are alot of kits roaming around for the replica cobras but I would like to mock one up for my LS.
The turbo is off of the 1st gen. Eagle Talon AWD, that Im getting for free from a friend, hopefully I can find another one that matches exactly the one i already have.

So I would need to find a 14b turbo to match the one I already have right?
