I want to know if the vitara pistons can hold 300+whp?

 

hmm I personally wouldn't push them that hard..........they are just regular pistons but low comp

 

if u are gonna spend money to build up your engine, spend money on the right pistons and get some forged ones

 

AH, D-Series Honda Pistons can hold 300+ hp. Just that like Viartas, they will only last for the one 300+ pull!

 

Rumor is the guys from PR are/have run 300 on these. I haven't heard of anyone in the states that has though.

They're stronger than stock so that it for what it's worth I guess.

 

There is/was a Swift GTi in PR running over 400 whp on Vitara pistons.
They were in some car magazines....the magazines were from PR though....
It was running lo 10's on the 1/4 mile like that with 24.5" slicks.
That was a few years ago.

 

Those pistons are gay. Just get some forged pistons.

 

For just over 100bucks... they are pretty good bang for the buck though. They lower the compression, have thicker ringlands and are of a harder AL casting process.

If you have the money... go forged of course .

 

im going push mine as far as i can go. my friend has pushed 475 dynoed on a ls/vtec stock bottom end big turbo and ran 11.01at the track.i saw this with my onw eyes and he dorve it almost every day.

 

If I can get mine running right before wednesday. I will let you know.
