Making an engine hold long high speed pulls is simple. Its called overbuild. Aftermarket sleeves would be strongly suggested but also aftermarket pistons/rods are a must if you plan on doing this more than once. You are going to want relatively loose piston to wall clearances because as the heat in the engine builds, the pistons will expand more and more. You don't want them to expand so much they rub against the sleeve. Another thing you should be looking into is meth/water injection to draw the heat out of the damn combustion chamber. The real problem with going that fast is the aerodynamics/safety. 185mph is fast. The car has a high probability to shake itself to death. You will need to stiffen everything and make sure the car can absorb any of the various movements. Basically when you are looking to go fast you need to really overbuild everything. A 90mph collision vs a 185mph is a huge difference. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near your car while you are driving in the excess of 60mph let alone 185mph.

sure. but electric will drag your motor down less, and you can have it set to shut off after xxx seconds. kinda like an anti-coke for the turbo oil supply in a way
