!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!3/8" return line okay??
is a 3/8" ID line big enough for oil return? i figured it was since its quite some bit bigger than the restricted 1/8" that ends up going into the turbo.... would it be fine or is that still too small?
I'd use 3/8" for a return yes. Anything smaller and you might have oil backup problems. The line has to be big enough for the oil to drain freely back to the oil pan. There is no pressure in the return line so it's basically gravity fed. that being said, the bigger the line, the less restriction.
the only thing is, my setup is already done, im just tryin to work all the bugs out now.. so to convert over to 1/2" return, id be a bitch...id have to drop my pan again, buy a new tap, tap the 1/4" NTP hole larger... get new barbs and fittings, hose, etc. etc. biggest thing really is reatapping the pan since its cutrently tapped with 1/4"NTP with a 3/8ths barb comming outa that.... so yeah... maybe i can find a way to tap without dropping the pan... prob not though.
..i think i found my solution http://www.anver.com/document/vacuum...rbs/a1412b.htm 1/2" barb on a 1/4NPT ..alls id have to do now is swap out the fitting, get a larger hose and id have 1/2" instead of the 3/8" i currently have...should be better...
