I think the 4G63 is an insanely amazing engine, my brother had a "Supposed" NA 4G up here in america, after doing his Cold air intake setup the engine gained sooo much, he routed the intake from the intake manifold, around the engine bay, down the backside of the strut tower, and mounted it behind the wheel... what an insane bonus...

but yes he will need some sort of fuel management, i KNOW for a fact those stock injectors are good enough for boost, the rods are ----, and he will need to look into an FPR lol. that stock fuel pump isnt going to feed that snail

I haven't got around to reading the whole thread. I had heard it is bad to put a turbo on a 420a motor. The guy that does my car work, only works on dsm's. He told me there was no way in hell he would put a turbo on a 420a no matter how much I paid. He doesn't want to have to deal with all the bitching after I blow the motor. he said there was a lot of bottom end work that needs to be done to make it decently sturdy enough to handle a turbo. Now my suggestion, have you thought about checking in getting more hp to the wheels? As I have learned, one auto's suck, but there are a lot of things that eat hp. Now removing these and gaining more whp could help get that zip without worrying about blowing an engine. One thing I have seen is getting an electric water pump that don't run on the timing belt. That will rob the crank from putting power to the wheels. Also if you have cruise control, having that will eat away at hp. I forget the explanation I seen. Lets just assume it adds unneeded weight, and also it is something to do with the vacuum lines that pulls too much power that could be used on the road instead. Plus it effects the throttle somehow. There is a lot of things I have seen that is suppose to help. Now you can feel free to go a different route. I can't promise this will all help. I have not had the money to do my work that I want to. I just got my talon. But from everything ounce of homework I have done, this is my suggestion. Maybe you will find other things to do what you want. But I would stay away from going with a turbo on it. I wish the 420a would swap with the 4g63 or whatever the turbo motor is.

oh im on ALOT of DSM forums. and they all say a stock auto 420a can easily handle 10 psi and that the auto trannys can take alot of punishment. and ive decided to just save up for the kit. a Hahn RaceCraft turbo system. 275hp with no internals and no ECU upgrades at only 8psi. i plan on a auto to 5 speed swap. but not for a little bit anyway. just need this cars lil problems fixed to get it on the road. but i know it can handle boost with no problems. and i can swap the turbo motor in the 4g63? only for it to work, (well with the least amount of custom work) id need a Evo 8 4g63. as they sit the same way as the 420a

this is what ima save for...

You can swap a 4G63 into a 420A car, it's just that you have to know what you are doing, it's not like putting a B18 into a civic hatch because almost nothing is interchangeable like you see in the Honda tuning world. You need a complete long block, flywheel, transmission, axles, motor mounts, and all sorts of little bits to make it work. The end problem is this, it's not a cost advantageous swap.

Yes a 420A can handle a decent amount of boost................................. Once you put rods, pistons, a stiffer head gasket, and stainless steel valves in the motor at a minimum.
