Ok, So Im positive all of you have seen a GMC Syclone before. The awd boosted v6 truck based off of the S10. well they only made them off the first gen S10's. Well Ive been looking at getting one but didnt like the idea of spending that much on an 80's mini truck, even if it is a sick truck. So I got to thinking, Why not build my own out of a 2nd gen S10. Basically building a Syclone that GM never did. So, ive been looking for a decent platform to start with, and just aquired a very clean red w/grey interior, standard cab, short bed, 5spd with factory 4:10 gears. Now the only problem i guess is that this truck is a 4cyl, not the 6. I was thinking of swpping to a 6 but think I'll stay with the 4 cause of gas cost. Im now shopping for parts. im so stoked for this project. I wasnt going to post this project till iactually got more into it, but i got ancy, and well spilled the beans lol. Does anyone have much experience with boosted GM motors? Any advise would be awesome, cause Im jumping in blind. thrashing starts sunday!!

Thats rad. what did you do for drivetrain?

 

he didn't. the engine spins a giant generator, which powers brushless motors in the wheel hubs.

Seems like a valid question to me since the real Sy/Ty's are awd, and the S10 is offered in 4wd and 2wd.

 

Thats not remote mount is it.??...
At least you should have an endless supply of motors to switch out.....

 

i know a guy that has a black one. it only has 6k original miles since 91. it is perfect. this guy has issues. lol. he took me for a ride and it was pretty quick. i was kind of surprized and dissapointed at the same time

 

yeah. bul s10 drivetrains dont last from what ive seen around here. (going by what i see, this may/may not be fact) so looks like lots of swappin

 

A buddy of mine are workin on taking a safari awd frame an putting the blazer body on the frame to make a true awd v6 blazer
