Thanks for the good stuff, and the laughs ;D

good luck... first setup always BOOOOOOM...!

My car has a D15b7 with 200,000 miles on it and I have been boosting on it at 8 psi for over a year with an Xenocron basemapp.

d15b7 with 219k miles boosted for two months, took some serious abuse but rods didnt like 14+psi boost spike, other than that I was running 10lbs all day everyday.

I had a 200k+ KA24DE that put down like 300-330whp for years.

I put a centrifugal supercharger on my 97 Mustang when it had 107K on it. 206K later, the supercharger broke a bearing and had to be replaced. I ran the motor up to 321K with blowers before I took the still-running-well motor out and swapped it for a built 4 valve V8 with a larger supercharger.

My turbo mustang is has a rebuilt motor so cant say anything there. The original motor I mocked everything up with I replaced

lol my z6 has around 270k on it, im the second owner and know the first owner so i know its very well taken care of. I have been tempted to boost it with 8psi on a homemade kit, i just didnt think there were any success stories with high mileage. it would basically serve as a quicker highway driver, 40 miles a day back and forth to work. thanks for the input guys, i think a leakdown and compression test would be what sways me to either swap a d15bvtec engine/tranny combo or put the high mileage to the test.

Boost the high mileage motor

The tune is going to be key on any motor. If you have good leakdown etc. go for it. If you don't go for it anyway and start your new motor build while you are working out the kinks with the old motor/turbo setup.
