Right on. So the afc hack can handle up to 13psi. I didnt know it did that much. Too bad the d16y7 is week and wont handle that much power. Thanks for your help.

hankmorgan - I'm also turboing my d16y7 although I'm gonna stick with 8 psi. I'm hoping for 170ish to the wheels with a T3 turbo and the hack.

If you get a good sized turbo (aka not a T25) you might be able to make that much HP to the wheels with 10 psi.

Don't worry about HP numbers for now, just worry about doing the job right and getting good parts. After it's all together and working (with your motor intact - this part is important) THEN worry about tuning and getting 200 whp.

Thanks again for your help guys. I was just shooting for 200 as a goal. Thats what I would like, about double what I have now, that would make it worth the money in my opinion. I am just in the what if phase now doing some pricing and planning. I will definately go with good parts and do it right. Well, as right as my low budget will alow anyway. What is a good price for an intercooler. Good meaning cheap but works.

Will I most likely need a new clutch with that much power or does the stock one hold up ok. And do I need a new fuel pump or that kind of optional with this setup.

You can get DSM intercoolers at a boneyard for like $35-$45. If you wanna get a nice one, buy a Tyrus intercooler. Tons of people on here have them (myself included), and they are like $250, but worth every penny for a nice front mount IC.

Cool. I have heard good stuff about the tyrus IC's. What about clutch and fuel pump. Are they needed most likely with a turbo setup
