i was looking at a friends turbo he is selling and noticed there are 2 nipples on the wastegate actuator
its a turbonetics 63 a/r i believe its a t3/t4 , not sure what trim, but its a huge comp


anyways, what are the 2 nipples for

correct, both nipples are on the side, right on top of each other

 

hrm, that's weird. i'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but maybe since it's a larger turbo and actuator, they have two spots for a boost signal to get a 'stronger' more precise boost signal to the actuator

i was thinking the same thing, the turbo is a monster, the comp inlet is baseball size
but there is only 1 barbed fiting on the comp side

 

well, either plug one of the nipples up, or run it to a seperate boost/vacuum source. maybe that was there intention, to have one strong signal coming from the comp. housing, and another signal that would see vacuum to help keep the actuator closed? i don't know, i'm just talking out my *** and taking a guess.

 

im not buying the turbo, a friend is selling a kit for a VR6, and i was just seing if he had anything i could use

that monster turbo would take 2 years to spool on my A6 :P

 

I am going to assume it is a similar setup to the one on my Turbosmart 38 mm which has two ports on it.

Not sure how to hook it up, but one goes to the top of the diaphragm and the other to the bottom.

I would think one comes from the turbo, and the other from elsewhere, or as a bleed into somewhere. I need to call them to work it out.
