already did the 350 swap into my 86. Plus I have an 86 Trans Am with a 305 I'm just looking to make my daily driver a little faster. As for the ****** that think I'm some noob well yeah I am I've never messed with turbo's before and it seemed like a reliable way to gain some horsepower without the after effects of something like NOS. I've googled it a couple times but nothing worth while came up.

wow real helpful guys. forums are designed to help people gain an understanding of the topics they are interested in. You have to start somewhere if you knew everything you would need them. as far as the 2.2 they don't make a whole lot for the old style. I personally would look at factory turbo cars with similer displacments. Don't worry about staying chevy,or buying a kit that fits out of the box. Fabrication is half the fun. You'll probably have more luck looking at dodge,volvo , and honda
