1st and 2nd gen dsm turbo difference?

is there a difference in stock boost setting bewteen a turbo off of a first gen and one of a second gen dsm?

is one gen better than another for boosting a d series

1st gen =14b =larger =what most people want
2nd gen =t25 =smaller =some people want
