Default 1g CRX addict looking for someone to craft turbo adapter plate...

I need an adapter to fit a RHB5 from a subaru (triangle 3-bolt flange) on to a d15a3 hf manifold (4-bolt flange). Anybody who can assist me or recommend someone locally would be a great help. I am in Greensboro, NC, 27405. I don't have a welder or cutting tools at the time... so custom fab is out of the question for right now. Thanks guys!

Yeah, I found that forum while searching... but I'm not 100% sure the adapter will bolt up onto the '87 hf manifold. I may be wrong, but I think there is a difference between the d series hf's manifold in '88 & '89 and early '90s... I am sure the manifold is different on the inlet side. There is a space in the center of the manifold. But the cat's might bolt up the same. Which would make this work! Anybody have any ideas

(i know... this belong's on rpr's site, but I'm not having any luck there as of yet )

Thanks!

yeah. but this isn't the std manifold we are talking about..

he is looking for the d15a1 ew first gen crx hf manifold. do the hf ew cat bolts match with the later generation d16 or d15 motors std and hf exhaust mani's

check out how different they are.

the ew motors go 00 00

where the newer d15 and d16 had 0 0 0 0

i wonder if the cat flanges are the same.

oh and when rpr is back up go there. it has a forced induction forum with a bunch of dudes running turbo setups on the
first gen si motors. we just swapped a dohc zc motor and turboed that.

Why not just try to make a custom manifold? It might be a little easier to do that than try and find an adapter, and this way you can pretty much angle the turbo any way you need to.

hf adapter plate is cheep and with these 1.5 motors, a t25 will do, have little lag and screem..

there iis one dude on there with a stock carb ew motor running 12psi. ha....

here is a pick from cheeptrixracing

turbo rex kit (no longer made)

carb turbo setup 12psi

crazy ----.. but yeah it's doable, just find some one that can make one, tracing the flanges.

nice thing with 89 wiring is turbo edit!

shitything about 87 motors is vacume advance, although the hack would work considering that timing advance on the dizzy is vacume controlled

meh... all i can say is dohc zc with a t3 screames................

the ssautoshit is holding up. only ssauto stuff on the car so no flaming, we're alll on a budget.
oh and ssautoshit says that d15 ew motors fit their mani's and they do not so beware.

I've considered the d16a1... But for right now I want to use the rhb5 on the d15a3. I have a lot of other work done on the engine. ie: colt cams regrind stage 2, 3 angle valve job, stage 2 port & polished intake & plenum, radiused d16 tb w/ adapter plate, and a couple other things. This d15a is actually swapped into an '87 hf that had the carb'd pos in it...

So, I have come a long way with what I have so far. I'd like to finish with some boost! I'll be swapping in a b16 next season. I just want to see how this 1g motor will hold up on the track with a little push.

Still haven't found an adapter though...
