well this is coming from a fellow vwvortexer... Being your car is a 91 it is a Digifant 2. It does not use a Mass Air Flow sensor but uses the old school vane meter/"flapper" style sensor. These fuel systems are not the easiest to tune at all. BBM makes a supercharger kit for the 1.8 Digi 2 and you may be able to buy software from them to run 30lb injectors. But that will be slightly expensive, at least $250 for the software and another $50-100 for used injectors.

I would look at running Megasquirt..

good luck

its a 91 jetta don't waste your money on megasquirt fuelpump, fmu, injectors and a widewand and its done. You might just want to do a vr6 swap :y

easiest way is to switch from digi2(flapper MAF style) to digi1(MAP based) from a corrado g60. chip the digi1 ecu to whatever specs you need it. the rest is mechanical.
since g60's are supercharged the ECU/wiring is obviously for FI making your life much simpler.

and to who ever said the ECU he has isnt chippable you are wrong. ask any MK2 guy with a near stock setup and they will tell you they have thier ECU chipped to get rid of the digi2 lag issue

At 3 posts I honestly don't think we'll see him around too much...unless he's reading all he can, but these days it's pretty doubtful. More than likely a passer through. :P
