175,000 miles too much for turbo? motor doesnt smoke and it runs clean...wut do u guys think

do a compression check. im guessing d16z6 (excivic93)
if ok, you should be fine. 175k, never rebuilt, replace head gasket, timing belt? valves ticking? spark plugs clean? |

when it runs it sounds normal...i dont hear ne ticking...nothings been rebuilt only thing i touched was the clutch and its a stage 2 now...everything should be ok tho? no smoke im gonna run like 8-10 psi what would u reccomend

eh just do it, if anything it will just be another dirty D that bites the dust ;D if you have somwhere to work on your car (garage) i wouldent worry about it becuase there so common and cheap

the best/only way to tell is by doing a compression test. Do it and tell us the results.

if u cant check ur compression u cant put a turbo on....with success ;)

do a ghetto test. take the spark plug wire out and see if the rpms drop. if it does then that piston is ok. if it doenst drop then that cylinder is bad. but its best to fork over the $20
