Is 16g anygood for a b16
Now im getting a 16g off a evo pretty cheap and im planning to put it in my honda b16 will this turbo be any good? If yes then how much hp will i get at wheels on 8psi of boost? Let me know is this suits the best and supports how much hp?

evo 16g's flow 550 cfm im pretty sure its a decent turbo. depending on condition. you should be over 210hp but everyones set up is different so the only way to know is to dyno tune i was running low mid 13's with mine. i liked it until it got a rock for lunch/.

its decent...but i would only reccomend dsm turbo's on d series. on a b series, id upgrade

it depends if its an evo <b>8</b> or an evo <b>3</b> 16g the newer evo turbos flow more they are comprable to an 18g
new evos can run 11's on stock turbos |

the evo III 16g is a good VTEC turbo, full boost at approx 4500rpm, and can support about 320ish hp at 1bar, + or - a pound or 2.
i've seen good dyno results on both b16 and d16 vtec engines. hth phil |

Biggest downside to the tdo5h exhaust trim family is the extremely fast spool time on a b-series. The 7cm2 I tried on my b18a1 for a little while would crank out 8 psi by 2200 rpm's, but lose everything by 5500. On a motor that turns to 8k, it would be a good idea to bend out the wastegate arm a hair...I found that by making the flapper on the wastegate stay open about 1/8", it held off boost until around 3800, and would pull right up to 7500 on the b18. 8cm2 and larger for a b16.

i seen guys run 11s on 16g's a lot - and ive seen 16g's go terd slow... its a great turbo for a 8psi b series. evo3 turbos make 350 on pump regularly. also - a b series - offers less displacement than a 4g motor - it'll be exactly what you're looking for. (especially since those turbos run 15psi on stock evos) |

Now, http://www.team-integra.net/forum/di...g+Common+Topic stock b16 head tested at 10 inches of water. See where I'm going with this? A b16 with the cfm it flows in stock form with it's undersized cams will spool a tdo5h way to quickly. Even a 4g63 starts making boost on them by the 2800+ rpm mark. It pretty much all boils down to what this guy's goals are for hp, and how much he wants to abuse the efficiency of the turbo. |

its an 8cm^2 turbine housing - aka exhaust~ the 7CM vs 10CM (i assume this is what you were talking about) is in hte nozzle area... and this doesnt effect the amount of air it flows.
both turbos have a 68mm compressor... the differences lie within the exhaust housings. |

hmm..... so what should i conclude???
Is a 16g td05h single blade compressor anygood in b16?? for how much HPs? here im talking about 550cfm turbo. im going to boost 9/10psi on stock internals and stuff . is this turbo suitable for my setup?? i am about to buy it. |

At low psi levels, the 8cm2 housing should do ok...the 550cfm should be plenty for a stock motor for the time being. Hell, if you're getting a good deal on it, I'd say why not try it. If you're not satisfied with the end result, you can always sell it and buy a larger turbo.

i was very satisfied with mine. it pulled nice i was at 7-8 psi and was able to pull low 13's all day.

im running a 16g on my d series and its not fully tunned yet and im running 5 psi and it pulls pretty danm good
i would imagine that that turbo will spool nice and fast on a b series, id go with it, u will be very happy, especialy if ur ---- isnt boosted right now |

I've put 12.5 @ 110 passes on pump with a B16G w/ a mistu 2.0L motor... in a 3550lb raceweight car.
You figure out how much HP that is through a little turbo ;) |
