Default 14b vs t28 specs and driving impressions who has em?

I have a 14b on my 4agte corolla atm that made 225whp at 16psi on my 4age, but I doesnt make the 16psi till 4000rpms. I'm looking for something with a bit better spool that can bring me to roughly 250-275whp. The car is used for mostly autox with some roadcoursing so big turbos arent really the goal. It's not a highway monster or a drag car. I have a t28 from an s14 sittin in my lap and it has a larger compressor but a smaller turbine than the 14b. The exhaust housing is roughly .49 ar on the 14b and .64 ar on the t28.

I'm leaning more towards the the t28 being a decent performance for my modest power goals. What do you ******* think? The t28 will flow more, spool faster and make more power. With all the drifting children they are easier to come by now as well, cause theirs no way im dropping 1400bux on ------- gt28rs or 2860 ect.

14b:
TD05H-14B 14B compressor 1.695 2.285 trim 55 turbine 1.93 2.20
flow 405
t28:

Garrett T28 T3 trim 62 compressor 1.83" 2.37" turbine 1.64" 2.09"
flow 448

No I want a bigger turbo that isnt designed like a bag of ---- to spool sooner than a shitbag turbo lol. If you look its not that much bigger, so the addition of newer technology, better housings and ballbearinggayity should spool it sooner.

Nah, the s14 is BB but the GTIR t28 is not. I think their are a few rare cases in which the s14 got a journal bearing one.

if you're not making 16psi on a 14b until 4k, some ---- is fucked up. My miata makes 13psi by like I dunno 3200RPM or some ----.

Is your miata first or 2nd gen? My hotside is ported, that may be the reason who knows. I'm pretty sure it doesnt have any boost leaks as well. I also have cams that push the power upward so keep that in mind.

Ah sweet ***, i should of built a miata from the get go. But that is probably one of the reasons your spool is better than mine, the extra displacement.
