So what about the 15g turbo they put in the new z6 greddy kit?

the 15g (and the 13g, in fact) are for high flow and low boost. because the 15g is bigger than both the t25 and the 14b, it will spool slower.

I would never get a t25. Good for quick spooling but can't hold the power in the top end. I quess you could say its good for starting out but you'll be wanting something better trust me

T25's are considered t2 small for a reason.I ran a t25 as my first turbo on my old crx.It spooled quick but seemed to lose power quickly.Since my crx was auto i chose the perfect cheap turbo.A fully ported and clipped 13g out of a auto 1g dsm.I ran 1 bar and whupped some ass. ;D

The new greddy 15G ( and the 13G in fact ) are TD04 turbos, and will spool faster than a 14B... The 14B is ( of course ) a TD05 turbo.. The TD05H-14B is the turbo outta group meantioned that can support the most power...

The greddy TD04-15G is VERY small !! The inlets and outlets are just pitiful... The wheel is "bigger" than my WRX TD04L-13T, but the WRX turbo can walk all over the SOhc greddy turbos...

There is more to a turbo than its compressor wheels size, the housings are a big factor too...

As for the question about the T-25... I say rock the T-25 !! It'll be so much fun driving around with quick and almost instant boost, but after you get "owned" by a lot of other cars that you "think you should beat", you can switch over to the 14B and kick there ass ( but you'll always remember the good ole days, when torque was just a 16% throttle away )..

TD04L-13T is the best mid-ground IMO... 10psi+ at 2700rpms and not even a hint of power failing off... The 2.0L WRX runs it at 14ish PSI, so you know its just chill'n on a 1.6L sohc civic making 10psi ( in my case ).

My 3.0L stealth is getting 2 TD05H-14bs ( 1.5L times 2 ).

at what gear do you get the 10psi at 2700rpm? i'm getting it at 4300rpm also using a wrx turbo.

just curious, my downpipe might be wrong or the wastegate.

Re:14B vrs. T-25

2nd gear... I gotta keep my eyes on the road during first, or I'd prob. be parting out a wrecked turbo civic, hehe.

4300rpms is WAY !!! WAY !!! too slow of a spool for a wrx turbo !!! I have a 2.25'' DP, stock 1.5'' cat-back, AND 8.4/1 compression !!! And I still get lightning fast spool !! Sounds like your wastegate isn't quite sitting on the turbine housings...

Also...The WRX turbo is a little hard to work with as far as mounting, hehe...

yup i have the wastegate pulled hard already, have a 2.5" downpipe also :(

whats your boost with just the wastegate and no controller? I only get 6.

as for the mounting, yes, its very hard to fit it in :(
