Default 14b turbo on D series with a 16g wastegate...

What will the boost be set at stock using a 14b turbo on a d-series(d15b vtec) and using a big 16g wastegate? Are the wastegate springs the same or different? I need to know for sure because im about to buy a big 16g wastegate for my 14b turbo.

mine would boost 10 until the wastegate actuator broke and it overboosted and blew... those things are notorious. it was really more like 9.5

My stock waste gate, properly adjusted so there is no slack and no extra pulling on the actuator, my ECU when datalogging shows 9psi. Koby, (DSM owner on here) says the are 9psi also.

so i should never see more than 9, maybe 10 psi and do any of yall adjust the actuator arm longer or shorter? which would run less boost longer or shorter?

14b arms you dont wanna ---- with, get it just short enough to hold the flapper closed tight and leave it be.

if you lengthen it to try to lower boost, you're just ------- yourself with a shovel.

Yea you can shim the mounts a bit to hold the arm a bit tighter. But definitely dont' ---- with the arm too much if at all. As **** said, making the arm longer is gonna kill the spool and pretty much make the 14b really gay.
