hmmm. i know my friend chris has a 92 awd tsi and when he got it "stock" he was runing 11psi, but there were a few hacks done that came off dsmtuners.com i think.

also my cosuin has a 94 dsm and it was running 9psi, so idk, when my ls was running 1 stock boost was like 8-9. but who knows, internal wg can suck, but there not all that bad, i like external more thow, especialy because of them not boost spiking.

Re: 14b stock psi?

Factory DSM had a solenoid to keep boost at 8psi when the motor is cold and 10psi when warmed up.

So in actual fact the wastegate is set at 8psi

You guys are all wrong.

It is a 9psi wastegate acuator. If your getting more or less your ------- something up. Could be a million things, too much boost = boost creep aka overrunning the amount of air you can flow through the internal wastegate.

Too little boost = your wastegate flapper is getting blow open because you have a busted actuator, or you have shot journal bearings, ect...
