LOL yeah we're all wrong here @ HMT. 14b's need restrictors. There are a million stories about smoke going away once a restrictor is installed on here.

The ball bearing turbo's are the ones you can do withouth the restrictor on. If you don't use a restrictor you are going to push oil through your seals because they aren't meant to hold that kind of pressure. I tore up a super60 by not running a restrictor. The shaft play ended up being about an inch after I pulled i9t off and the cold side turbine was a different trim afterwards haha.

Yep, sleeve bearign and every MHI turbo I've pulled apart has a 360 degree thrust bearing.

dude stop being so stupid and put one on
cancel the small/cheap things out to find the problem

by the way i have one on my 14b and it helped
