Default 14b question

ok so someone gave me a 14b turbo the problem is it was in 30 million peices i have it all back togethor now and ready to put the two ends on but what hold the hot side togethor and what holds the cold side on to the middle piece where the water and oil run through it looks like some kinds of snap ring may hold the cold side on but i have no idea on the hot side and im not really even sure about the cold side please help

you can put something together capable of spinning how many thousand rpms, but you don't know what holds it together?

Sounds like 30 million pieces of scrap to me.

what the hell do you mean i got a freakin box of parts and just put the wheels back on and i just need to know how the hell it ------- mounts to the housings i dont know every god damn thing in the world jackass thats why i ------ asked go join the ******** on honda-tech if you wanna be a douche

Large snap rings on both sides hopefully you have some in the box of parts.
If not, you may have to hunt down some one with a mitsu turbo supplier and order the snap rings.

thank you and i was trying to search but im on my lunch break and really didn't have time i guess im going to have to hunt then snap rings down there was none in the box

If the wheels were off the shafts uh ... u cant jus tput it back together and hope for the best. On the compressor theirs a snap ring, on the exhaus tside theres a big outer ring clamp.

There is a reason most people here don't get turbo's rebuilt, they either go dirt cheap used and replace as needed or buy new. Even when it's done by a shop it's a crapshoot if it will last. Do you even know why it was torn apart in the first place? Most people don't tear down perfectly good turbos for no aparent reason except they were bored.

My point is still valid, if you can't see how the thing goes together or don't have directions that you followed how did you get the rest together? You expect this piece of ---- to hold together when it spins how fast?

he is right. your gonna put those snap rings on and before you reach two psi that things is going to spit 30million pieces on the road to where you cant find them just go buy on eused for 100 and save your self time and money

im not going to use it i just wanna get it back togethor and they said they were experimenting i dont really care if it explodes or not i have a super .60 that stays on my car this was going to be for a shop project and if it works great if not all i wasted would be 50 bucks on a cheap *** rebuild kit and some time that doesn't really matter to me and i know how it goes togethor i just wasnt sure if a snap ring help it on or not i repeat this is goin on no car so no worries
