Default 14b question

Can the 14b housing be rotated like the T25 or am I gonna have to get a funky charge pipe to use it?

the 14b and I think even the t25 have alignment dowls that need to be ground off before you can move the compressor housing, its really easy, I do it to all of them..... ----, now I cant remember if both had them or not? well one of them does 14b/t25. No big deal.

well yes 14b's have dowls on the exhaust housings, but we were talking about compressor housings right? I'm 100% positive either the 14b or T25 has an alignment dowl on the compressor itself that you have to grind off, ----, I dont have any turbos on hand, and my memory is about as good as a 75 year old man, everything is a blurrrrrrrrrrrrrr :P

Anyone got any pics? I'm not sure what to look for.

I've finally started my project. Removed front bumper, radiator, A/C and all components and the exhaust manifold. All I lack is the oil and water lines which I will run once I get everything bolted on. I'm taking pictures as I go and will try to get them all posted somewhere. I'm using 14b, HF manifold, gary's adapter plate, starion intercooler, 450cc DSM injectors, Zdyne Gold and some charge pipes from a DRAG kit that I picked up cheap. I'll be running this in my 90 CRX Si with d16a6 until it blows and then I will be getting another d16a6 block and sending it off to Golden Eagle. Hopefully with the zdyne and some common sense I will be able to run for a while as is.

Might be a stupid question, but, if you rotate the compressor housing, can you still use the stock wastegate? Or would you have to remount it off the compressor/make custom mounts?

I would have to relocate it, but I'd much rather have to relocate it and fab up a bracket for it than have some nasty bends in my intercooler piping.

can you rotate it as much or as little as you want?
is it just a matter of loosening the band clamp and turning? how do i make sure i dont misalign something, like the shaft so it doesnt need to be rebalanced or something.. on the same note, while its apart can i determine if i need new seals or a whole rebuild kit?
