Default 14b compressor outlet 1-3/4" to 2-1/2"?

I have a 14B for a custom set up. The Compressor outlet is 1-3/4" OD while most IC's have 2-1/2" charge pipes. I can't find reducers/couplers in those dimensions. What are people using to connect the compressor outlet to larger diameter charge pipes?

Go to the turbonetics website and click on catalog. Scroll down to "turbos and accessories" and the connectors are somewhere on that page. :P

http://www.turbopiping.com/

has 2 to 2.5 inch adaptors, you might be able to just clamp that bitch down. thats where i got the one for my t3/t4.

they are a ripoff at $18+s&h but i couldnt find a better price.

you can also weld an exhaust pipe adaptor onto your charge pipe and use one 2" clamp.

Thanks guys for your suggestions. But none of these sites has a reducer for 1-3/4" pipe. The smallest they go is 2".

The 14b is a popular choice for DYI turbos. Isn't there someone who has actually used the 14b and connected it to 2-1/2" charge pipes? Are you just clamping down a 2" connector? Does that hold?

Also, the compressor outlet is inconveniently pointing up. I have to use about 270deg of pipe to get it routed down. Should I use a 2" bend for this first turn and 2-1/2" for the rest of the charge pipes? There are plenty of 2"=>2-1/2" reducers. Will a 2" straight coupler hold to the 1-3/4" outlet pipe if I just clamp it down (connecting it to the proposed 2" transition pipe)?

Finally, to the suggestion that I use a tapered exhaust pipe transition and weld that on, where can I get tapered exhaust pipe sections?

Again, thanks to the guys who already responded.

if i were you i would rotate the compressor housing to wherever you want and then weld an exhaust pipe adaptor (1 3/4 to 2.5) on that end of your charge pipes and then use a 1 3/4 connector.

2 inch pipe can be welded to the compressor flange.
