Default 13b or 14b? Pros/Cons?

I can get my hands on either a 13b or a 14b for my d16y8 project (stock internals), i know enough about the 14b and what its all about but i know next to nothing about the 13b. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two and which would be better to go with. Im not looking for any insane power since im running stock internals just some helpful input on the best choice

The 13g(off an automatic 90-94') has a drastically smaller TD04 turbine wheel and 5cm^2 turbine housing. The compressor is quite a bit smaller as well and would support mid 200's at best where as the 14b(near maxed out) can support 300whp. Externally they will be about the same but the main problem might be the turbine inlet if you are looking for a bolt on manifold; it's very tiny and off-center. The 14b uses a standard round mitsu inlet.

well the guy that is selling the 13b is also giving me the manifold along with it for free. So couldn't i take it to a weld shop and get them to cut the flange off of it and put it on my turbo manifold? He told me that the 13b also has NO shaft play which is a huge plus with any used turbo. As i said im not looking to make huge power, like 200whp at the most. From what you said it seems like it would be a decent turbo for my project, or am i wrong?

I say go for it as long as you have the manifold figured out; it should meet your goals and be very responsive.
