not always the stupidest thing... low compression causes lag and requires a grip of boost, mid compression is kind of the key compression but with high compression will cause less lag generate load quicker allowing bigger turbo size and less boost needed? ur friend created no power cuz sC's suck... read up on any car that's sC'd... super charged civic singlecam = not even 200 hp even with mild build... where as turbo stock singlecam can produce over 200 pretty easily? even on low boost settings... sc = lose power to gain it... turbo = wasted exhaust crap = all gained power...

i say u turbo it =)

He probably didn't make power cause he has a SC. :P

High compression is fine with good tuning. I will never run low compression again, I loved my high compression with boost

we just turbo'd a small block chevy last night with 11.1 c/r, and my twin turbo ls/vtec was a tad bit over 11 as well. It's all in tuning

Sure, turbo it and run only methanol race fuel on it.

my d15b7/y8 mini-me runs 10.6:1 and made 200 at the wheels with a 14b at 9psi on 93. put the purse down and turbo that thing.

Boostin'LS just built an LS Vtec setup with a compression ratio in the 11's and he's boosted it quite nicely. Just got to keep in mind all the variables when you tune it.
